- Reflector/Reflector Disc: This isn’t the type of reflector that goes on the back of a bicycle. A studio reflector disc reflects light to illuminate detail in shadow areas for more dramatic photos. They are available in a variety of sizes and colors. Reflector discs are portable and easy to setup and use. We have a variety of discs and can help you decide which will work best for your situation: http://tinyurl.com/9utpvc
- Flash Meter: A flash meter is a device that measures both incident (flash) and ambient light. These are usually handheld devices that can help ensure that your images are not too dark, light, or have too much contrast. Come on by our store and let us show you how to use one and how it can improve your photography.
- Trigger Release: If you own a tripod, you should also own a trigger release for your camera. A trigger release simply triggers the camera’s shutter without having to physically push ‘the button’ on your camera. Trigger releases come in wired and wireless versions, and both function well in allowing you to pay attention to your subjects and to capture the perfect moment without being tied to the camera. They are extremely simple to set up, and once you start shooting with one, you’ll wonder how you got along with out!
