    I chose canon because my best point and shoots were canon and I had access to a few canon lenses to play with.

    I’d originally thought of Canon because I’d owned a few previously: Canon FTb, A1 (an old favorite) and an A2 – all film cameras. The clincher for me was the CMOS sensor and how it was perceived to be somewhat silkier than a CCD. Since I was planning on doing some portraiture, the CMOS coloration fit within my specifications.

    I’m leavin’ ya a comment to try for a win for the hood! :) . I’ve used a canon since day one. My old old 35mm was a canon and so was my p+s. Why not stay with the best! And besides – when I’ve had to send back for repairs – I get it back in tip top condition within a week. Yay for Canon! Got Canon? :)

    When I first bought my XT it was the best DSLR you could get for the money. A few lenses later and I am hooked into the Canon system :)
